I had to have a C-section because Owen was breech. His legs were in front of his face. The worst thing about the C-section was the I.V. I was very sore afterwards. Owen was born at 8:39 A.M. and was 7 pounds even and 20 inches long. The whole procedure went really quick.
John and I agreed on doing moon and stars in the nursery. John painted the room and put up the border. My friend Amanda and I sponge painted the stars on the wall.
I can't believe I still danced being 31 weeks pregnant! I haven't missed a year yet, and I wasn't going to let being pregnant stop me. The only dance I could do this year was clogging. I couldn't fit into the other costumes or roll around on the ground. It was Michelle (our niece) fifth year. We gave her flowers and a ballerina plaque.
Me, John, Keith and Heather Lewis, Keith's brother and his friend spent the day at the river. It was miserably hot. The baby had slowed his movements today which made me very nervous. Heather is three months pregnant. I am 30 weeks.
I teach kindergarten at Pleasant Grove Elementary. They threw me a baby shower. My kindergarten co-workers gave me my stroller/car seat combo and the faculty gave me $100 gift card to Babies R Us along with other gifts. I was 30 weeks pregnant.
John and I went to Destin for Spring Break this year. Spring break was April 16th to the 20th. You would think in the middle of April it would be warm down there. A storm came through and it turned windy and cold. I was on the beach all bundled up. That didn't stop John from getting in the ocean and going fishing at the condo. It was a fun trip. It was the first time we had ever visited Destin on vacation. I was 25 weeks pregnant. My feet started swelling really bad on this trip.
John and I went to Shreveport, Louisiana for the Indpendence Bowl. Alabama played Oklahoma. We did not win of course. The city was neat. There were a lot of casinos and there was a River Walk. I was 9 weeks pregnant at the time. We had just told our family on Christmas.
Owen's website is currently under construction. I have been posting his pictures under add a page element and not the other way. When I tried to make them bigger, it takes forever for them to download. Over the Thanksgiving holidays (hopefully) I am going to re-add them the other way. I hope it works.
John and I met in May of 2005 at church. They got married on May 27th, 2006 at Concord Baptist Church
Bridal Tea with Bridal Party-4/05
Bridal Tea at Concord Baptist Church with April, Allyson, me, Cindy, Ashley, Amanda, and Michelle.
Alabama Game-9/10/05
We were at the ballgame having a blast and I was still in shock that we were engaged.
When John Proposed-9/10/05
John proposed to me at an Alabama football game. He put the ring inside of a huge strawberry and waited until I picked it up to eat it. I was clueless and very shocked.
